Hello! Yes it’s me, I am still alive. We have been knuckling down and catching up with everything over at the Future Kept, after our first December as shop keepers! Today I made time to take a little break and research some dark blue interior inspiration for a little hallway revamp. After the success of the dark charcoal living room wall, I am going to be fearless with colour this year and dive right in with a dusky moody blue for our hallway. Maybe that should be my word for the year? Yes, Fearless. I love all shades of navy and the way gold sits against it, so some of our vintage frames will be getting a subtle gilding before they go back up on the walls.
I know it will darken the hallway, but I think it will be fun to have a dramatic colour on the walls when we walk in. With candles lit in all seasons here, the gold will shimmer and the space will hopefully feel warm and cosy.
We have lots of prints, old postcards and other artwork to hang up so that will break up the colour nicely and add interest, and hopefully the cats will have less success in making it grubby. They do love to make their mark with a muddy paw print here and there on all our white walls!

I just love this bright yellow against the blue above, and the colourful print finishes off the space perfectly! I will be back later with some January colour trends from Instagram, and later in the month with some pictures of my own hallway before and after it is decorated!
